Looking for that perfect gift for a milestone birthday, anniversary, retirement, or other special event? What kind of record about your life are you leaving for your descendants? No one can tell the story of your life better than you. While you’re leaving a paper trail of your life in official documents, those don’t tell your family and descendants about your personality and your life story. There is only one “you” who will ever walk this earth. Do you really want to leave it without leaving a lasting personal story for your descendants? It’s true that to the world you are just one person. But to one person at least, you are the world. Tell them your story.

A personal history or life story records your memories, giving a vivid portrait of your life. It can be as limited or comprehensive at you want, focusing on a particular time in your life or covering your whole life. It can incorporate your family history or a business history. It’s really up to you. As your Personal Historians, we’ll help you define the scope of your project, then manage it from beginning to completion.

We will travel to you or your family members to conduct a series of interviews and to scan photographs you’d like included. We’ll audio and video tape the interview, then have the audio tape transcribed. From there, we’ll edit your story, place the photographs, and turn your interview transcripts into a printed personal history—a legacy for your family. We can also give you the option of preserving and sharing your story in a video or multi-media format.
